We are dedicated to unlocking the secrets of our shared past to reveal the connections between species, human migration and Ice Age megafauna.
Our Goals
Tracks and past life ways
We are leading experts in using remote sensing and geophysics to find fossil footprints. Our ground breaking work is re-writing Americans earliest history and increasing our understanding of early migration patterns. We aim to continue this world-leading research.
Training and development
We offer hand on training for those interested in learning how to find and document fossil footprints. We aim to cultivate the next generation of paleontologists and archaeologists and empower them with a knowledge of ichnology.
Public outreach and conservation
We will work in partnership with government, local and tribal communities to ensure the long term preservation and conservation of fossil trackways.
About
our Vision
During the last Ice Age (Pleistocene + Holocene) the Earth was a vast interconnected “island” intercontinental land bridges were revealed by lower sea levels. Humans and Ice Age fauna migrated across the planet and these journeys reveal our shared history. Fossil footprints provide a way of telling the story of these journeys and the challenges they involved. Our mission is to build a body of scientific research, education and public engagement focused on footprints as evidence of the past and to champion the preservation of this resource.
